Introducing our April 2017 Volunteers: Georgia Lyons and Adam Ferris….
Georgia is a 29 year who, upon completing university, has worked at many hospitals across NSW as a registered nurse. Georgia has established herself at a major regional trauma hospital as an emergency nurse and prides herself on evidence-
based medicine. She has completed many post graduate degrees in her endeavour expand her knowledge base. Georgia wishes to combine her love of adventure and desire to offer medical care to communities who will most benefit. Volunteering has always been Georgia’s passion and she couldn’t pass up the opportunity to embark on an adventure and help people.
Adam is a 29yr old living in rural NSW currently working for NSW Ambulance as a Paramedic. Adam has moved all across NSW and worked in a variety of locations since finishing university. He enjoys traveling, diverse culture and prefers the humbling experiences with locals rather than flashy hotels. Adam has strong family ties to the Fiji islands, he has made many trips overseas assisting in fly and builds with his late grandfather. Adam has never been north equator and is eager for a new adventure, there is no better way than helping people along the way.
