Our high-flying Volunteers!

Some of the 2015 Earthquake Recovery Crew.

Everyone that follows BPM would be well-aware of the wonderful work our volunteers do in the field, from post-earthquake relief efforts, to women’s health initiatives, to kids health-and-hygiene education…and everything in between!

But did you know that in the past 2 years, more than 15 Backpacker Medics Volunteers have walked into full-time jobs with various ambulance services around the world…?! Many of our Paramedics who were already working “on-road” are now in senior clinical or management positions and more than a few are working in remote locations around Australia.

Some of our volunteers are now studying medicine, a few are completing their Masters, and we’ve even got a couple of newly-qualified ‘Fireys’ in the mix!

In short- BPM volunteers are a high-flying bunch!!! (…and we’re very proud of all of them!!!).
