Our July/August trip is underway and we have had two more valuable additions to an already amazing group of people!
James Leadbetter is a Paramedical Science student from Perth, Western Australia. He is a born and bread Aussie who loves listening to music, riding motorbikes and most of all, travelling! When he is not studying hard, he loves spending time with his dogs Harley and Buddy, collecting vinyl records and playing his guitar!
Brooke Carmichael is a 32 year old Ambulance Officer from Perth, Western Australia. She has recently completed her training and will be promoted to an Ambulance Paramedic this coming November. Prior to working as an Ambulance Officer, Brooke was in the Australian Army. She has been deployed to
Afghanistan twice and is no stranger to doing it tough! Brooke is very excited about being a part of this Backpacker Medics trip, hoping to gain valuable experience in pre-hospital care in a remote/rural setting, teaching others, learning new skills and making lifelong friends!
